Welcome to Paris!
In addition to helping with day-to-day adjustments to Post by providing school, employment, personal & family guidance, safety, cultural and other practical information, CLO Paris organizes social and special events. We work to ensure that you connect into the community and get the most from your time in France.
Our tours and other entertainment are our most visible work; however, CLO Paris has eight areas of responsibility: Employment Liaison, Crisis Management & Security Liaison, Education Liaison, Information and Resource Management, Guidance and Referral, Welcoming and Orientation, Community Liaison, and Events Planning.
You will find our offices on the ground floor of the Chancery, in Room A-13, open Monday through Friday from 09:00 AM to 6:00 PM. Should you ever have questions about Post and life in Paris, please don’t hesitate to contact us by phone at 01.43.12.21.20 or via e-mail at CLOParis@state.gov.
We look forward to meeting you!
– The CLO Paris Team
CLO is your Welcoming and Orientation Liaison
Often, CLO is the first contact–and best source of information–
for newcomers prior to arriving at post. CLOs organize and
maintain a sponsorship program and newcomer orientations to
help new arrivals adjust.
We invite you to attend the Newcomers Briefing held every Tuesday morning during the summer (see details below.) We also team up with the Paris Welcome Center (PWC) to help with the full circle of in-processing, getting situated at Post, and eventual out-processing. We hope you’ll stop by Paris CLO and PWC to say hello!
